GEO Slovakia, Ltd. is the company authorized to perform an official measurement of volumetric radon activity in the soil air (Decision on authorization No. 2007/160/00/01820 dated from 2 October 2007 issued by the Standardization, Metrology and Testing Laboratories Office of the Slovak Republic in accordance with clause 24 Act No. 142/2000 Coll., on Metrology, and on alteration and amendment of some acts, as amended by Act No. 431/2004 Coll. of (NR SR) the National Council of the Slovak Republic) and it is a holder of a permit of the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic for determination of volumetric radon activity in the soil air and foundation soil permeability of building plot (Permit No. OZPŽ/9930/07). Measurements are realized by the official measurer (Certificate No. 2142/05 issued by the Slovak Metrology Institution).
The aim of the radon exploration is the assessment of building plot foundation soils from the view of 222Rn penetration risk into buildings.

Within the intention of the Act No. 355/2007 Coll. and Act No. 126/2006 Coll. of the NR SR, the natural persons entitled to undertake business activities and legal entities, whose purpose clause of business activity is to build constructions, are obliged to ensure the measurement and assessment of volumetric radon activity in the soil air.
